Day Of The Dead
Day of the dead is a tradition very important in my country and my family. This Celebrate 1 and 2 of november.
In my Family, my mom decorates the house with cempasuchitl flowers, borla flowers, papel picado; and the interior of house she elaborates "THE ALTAR".
"THE ALTAR"
The altar is very important for the celebration,It is an offering for family spirits visiting the home.
it`s Big or Small and decorates with china paper colors orange, black and purple, papel picado, candles, flowers and the most important ; photos of the deceased in the family and favorite food.
FOOD
The traditional food for the celebration is:
Mole and chicken: mole is a mix of various chile`s of region, chile ancho, chile chimeco, chile pasilla; also chocolate, sugar, almonds, cumin and other spice`s. Is a Mix Sweet and Salad and sometimes spicy.
served with chicken or pork meal and a little bit of rice.
CHOCOLATE: The Oaxaqueño Chocolate is origin of oaxaca city, Is a Mix of Cacao and sugar, sometimes very very sweet or bitter. it`s prepare to water or milk and served a cups.
BREAD YEMA OR DEAD: it`s a special bread of Oaxaca, there are two versions; yema Bread or Dead Bread. The first is origin of oaxaca city and prepares with egss and butter, it`s soft and yellow color regular. The secod is origin of mexico city and consumes in everyone country. it`s a circular bread with bread "bones" as decoration.
